- Introduction
During testing at the clinical site, the raw data is encrypted and stored locally on that computer. At the end of each testing day, the site will take the raw data from each testing computer and upload the encrypted data to the CogState secure, study-specific, DataPoint® website.
Throughout the trial, your trial data will be viewable in real-time through our DataPoint® system. As soon as the data is received at CogState, you, the study site and CogState will be able to view the data (at controlled permission levels).
Your project manager will review the data to check for discrepancies such as duplicated or missing tests. If data cleaning is necessary, a Data Discrepancy Report will be sent to the site coordinator. The site will then respond to the discrepancy report, sign it and send it back to CogState. Necessary changes will be made and the discrepancies will be resolved. This is an ongoing process throughout the study.
Real-time access to the cognitive data is ideal when the data is required to review dose escalation in early phase studies or for ongoing safety monitoring alerts.
